Omdat onze dochter in Spanje woont hebben we een goed excuus om dit land zo nu en dan te bezoeken. Deze keer reisden we af in februari, en ik kan je verzekeren dat het koud, nat en winderig was. Gelukkig hebben we ook nog een paar warmere dagen getroffen en waren we in de gelegenheid om een paar mooie plaatsen te bezoeken zoals Braga en Guimaraes. Als je door dit soort steden loopt is het alsof de tijd heeft stilgestaan. Maar een groot contrast tussen fantastische schoonheid smerige rommel. Ik toon je wat van de schoonheid
Our daughter lives in Spain nowadays. She’s got herself a Spanish boyfriend and we longed to visit them in Tui (in Galicia), where he lives with his family. Tui has a legendary origin. It is situated on a hill and next to the Portuguese border by the River Mino. There’s so much to discover in this province of Spain which is not yet discovered by tourists. Cities like Pontevedra, Vigo and Santiago de Compostela (famous for it’s Cathedral) are worth visiting, even on a rainy day! This area of Spain is rich with mountains and has many brooklets and streamlets with attractive cascades. But you have to be early in the season to enjoy this. Also it has nice beaches at the west-coast.
